build.log

While building dev-libs/libnl-3.2.24-r1 with MAKEOPTS=-j5, I got several errors which suggested the compiler was trying to read a corrupt or incomplete file:

netlink/genl/capi_wrap.c:1:1: warning: null character(s) ignored [enabled by default]
netlink/genl/capi_wrap.c:103:3: error: unknown type name 'SWIGINTERN'
netlink/genl/capi_wrap.c:103:23: error: expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__' before '*' token
[...]

Rerunning the build made the problem go away, so I suspect a race condition, though I don't have time at the moment to dig deeper. build.log attached.

I'm pretty sure this was fixed in 3.2.25. Perhaps by [1].

In 3.2.24 I see this:

running build_ext
building 'netlink/_capi' extension
swigging netlink/capi.i to netlink/capi_wrap.c
swig -python -O -nodefaultctor -o netlink/capi_wrap.c netlink/capi.i
building 'netlink/_capi' extension
swigging netlink/capi.i to netlink/capi_wrap.c

but versions beyond that don't seem to do this twice in quick succession any longer.
