Description Konstantin Sobolev 2014-06-10 19:53:38 UTC
Hi

I'm having problems with directfb on Lenovo T440s with Intel HD graphics.
Framebuffer seems to be OK, /dev/fb0 is present and dmesg says

[ 0.572959] i915 0000:00:02.0: irq 58 for MSI/MSI-X
[ 0.572967] [drm] Supports vblank timestamp caching Rev 2 (21.10.2013).
[ 0.572971] [drm] Driver supports precise vblank timestamp query.
[ 0.572989] [drm] DMAR active, disabling use of stolen memory
[ 0.573025] vgaarb: device changed decodes: PCI:0000:00:02.0,olddecodes=io+mem,decodes=io+mem:owns=io+mem
[ 0.679991] [drm] GMBUS [i915 gmbus dpb] timed out, falling back to bit banging on pin 5
[ 0.693128] fbcon: inteldrmfb (fb0) is primary device

I tried DirectFB versions 1.4.9, 1.6.3 and 1.7.1 with different results.

running "dfbg -c FFFF" on 1.4.9 blinks the screen with white then prints this:

I also tried this app to check if fbdev works at all: http://git.ideasonboard.org/fbdev-test.git
Output of fbdev-test /dev/fb0:

other commands like filling screen with a pattern also work fine.

your best bet for this sort of thing is the dfb mailing lists:
http://directfb.org/index.php?path=Development%2FMailing+Lists

we don't really develop dfb itself
