Description Andrey Volkov 2014-06-09 05:49:08 UTC
Fail to remove LVM snapshot:

lvremove nxid/home.snap

Unable to deactivate open nxid-home.snap-cow (254:12)
  Failed to activate home.snap.
  Releasing activation in critical section.
libdevmapper exiting with 1 device(s) still suspended.

I got this error with
sys-fs/lvm2 2.02.105-r2, 2.02.106
linux-kernel 3.10.41, 3.12.21, 3.14.5, 3.14.6
sys-fs/udev-213

The workaround was to downgrade sys-fs/udev from 213 to 212-r1

The same bug:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=182585

Reproducible: Always

sys-fs/udev-214 works fine

OK, I removed 213 from Portage, wasn't planning on stabilizing it anyway
