As kde-base/breeze uses qtcurve for the implementation of its widget style, x11-themes/qtcurve needs now to be KF5 compatible. Right now, the 'kde' USE flag pulls in KDE 4 dependencies, but there's no option to make use of qtcurve's KDE integration in a KF5-only environment.
qtcurve does have an option and what appears to be an implementation of that option, but it's currently commented out.
qtcurve is moved to the kde infrastructure: https://github.com/QtCurve/qtcurve https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/base/qtcurve @qt Maybe it would make sense to co-maintain the package or take it completly over to kde herd. What do you think?

I don't personally mind if you take it. If someone else in the qt team is interested, we can definitely co-maintain. In the latter case however, in which overlay should we maintain the live ebuild? Maybe we can move it to gx86? [CC'ing also polynomial-c who is listed as maintainer of the in-tree package.]

If we take the maintainer ship i would suggest to maintain it in kde overlay. If you want to have a mirror i could keep them in sync.
On 28 of July Hugo Pereira Da Costa started implementing breeze style using current Oxygen code as a base. So breeze no longer depends on qtcurve, so it is not a needed dep for kde styles anymore. It IMHO should stay in qt overlay. Would be nice to see some action here, as qtcurve-9999 is now broken since 23 of July.
I've updated the homepage and repo uri. Not sure if there's anything further to do as per comment #6 and comment #1 still being true.
https://github.com/gentoo/qt/commit/ca968b37221985285a28e732896c5ea0f7dcd4ba Can we close this? Anything else needs to be done?
(In reply to Davide Pesavento from comment #8) > Can we close this? Anything else needs to be done? I didn't actually test this with KF5, so if anyone can give some feedback on that, that would be great!
I'd say this can be closed since ca968b37 implemented all required changes.
If anything is missing, please let us know.
