To enable svg in Gimp, you must add the librsvg library as dep. and the ebuild do not include it.
yes.. well .. not really if you want to do it neatly. We want a working configure switch, not autodetection.
./configure do not detect libsvg that's it does not build the svg in gimp.
thats the point, we don't want autodetection (like you describe) -> we want a hardcoded switch.
and that must be done by the gimp team ??
It can be done by anybody, just write a small patch that enables a switch.
gimp-2.0.4.ebuild contains: svg? ( >=gnome-base/librsvg-2.2 ) Suggest closing this as FIXED.
there is still no configure switch, thats what this is about..
added a small patch to my 2.2.7 package, will be testing it shortly.
I'm closing 9 bugs at once, since these bugs should be fixed in my 2.2.7 ebuild of the gimp. ( just committed to the unstable tree ) If you find that your bug was not fixed in the 2.2.7 ebuild, please open a new bug with what it is or is not still doing. Thanks for the attachments and comment, they helped!
