Description Malte E. 2014-05-26 23:53:49 UTC
The ebuild was just updated - the new version has file collisions with kde4. A blocker should be added

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Malte E. 2014-05-27 00:12:07 UTC
the colliding file is /usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd - since some application need the libraries from kactivities, it may be useful to rename the executable or optionally remove it in order to allow parallel installation of the two.
Comment 2 Matthew Dawson 2014-05-27 05:36:59 UTC
This has been brought up already ( https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/115602/ ), with the upstream decision being that kactivitymanagerd should be installed from the frameworks version and that it would be backwards compatible with KDE4.

I've submitted a RR ( https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/118340/ ), that disables the daemon in kdelibs. If KDE is fine with the patch, I'll work on packaging it up for Gentoo.

Thanks, improved blocker to handle cases where kde-base/kactivities installed does not have minimal USE flag.

Comment 4 Malte E. 2014-05-27 12:02:58 UTC
would be awesome, if not only the git version from the overlay had the minimal USE flag
