Here's a ebuild for FreeRIDE, an IDE for the Ruby programming language. The ebuild uses a patch that fixes a problem with the config-files not being used from ~/. (It tries to use freeride-dir/config instead, wich is non-writable for users.) There's also the freeride script which starts FreeRIDE.

I hope this makes it into portage. I've been playing around with this and couldn't believe that there were no ebuilds for it.
Your ebuild looks clean and works fine. I've just add it to dev-util/freeride. Thanks for the bug report.
