When trying to emerge gtk+-2.4.1 I recieve the following error:

checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes
checking for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... no
configure: error: *** libX11 not found. Check 'config.log' for more details.

!!! ERROR: x11-libs/gtk+-2.4.1 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 365, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed

I am using xorg as opposed to xfree. However I just tried installing xfree and re-emerging only to produce same results.

I do believe I have the libx11 library because...

attach the gtk+ config.log .. probably NX problem though.
