kde.org.eclass checks $PV to determine what SRC_URI it should use. However, it assumes that PV for kde packages can only be of the form 2.2, 3.1, or 3*. Note however that arts, e.g., has a package version of 1.0.x. This causes "emerge clean"s and unmerges that touch arts to fail. The URL above has the one of the discussion threads in the forum. A temporary workaround has been suggested at the bottom of the thread in the URL above. It seems to work fine.

I fixe this some time ago in cvs; the arts ebuilds no longer use kde.org.eclass.
