Portage 2.2.10 (default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop, gcc-4.8.2, glibc-2.17, 3.14.3-gentoo x86_64) ... dev-lang/python: 2.7.5-r3, 3.3.3 Works for me.
I can't reproduce this
Neither do I. Looking at the ebuild, the file would be created by bash for sed output. Since I don't see any bash error, I suspect it must have succeeded created the file... but how then can't newexe see it? @Aleksey: is there anything unusual about your system that could affect this? Could you list us the contents of /var/tmp/portage/x11-misc/sunflower-0.1_alpha58/temp after the failing build/
It's stable Funtoo Linux with portage-2.3.6-r7 If for you just works, I wrote there this bug http://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1244

(In reply to Aleksey Frolov from comment #6) > It's stable Funtoo Linux with portage-2.3.6-r7 > I don't run funtoo. If you can test this on gentoo, please reopen.
This bug is caused by usage of Portage not having fix for bug #484332, which was fixed in vanilla Portage 2.2.2 released on 2013-09-10.
