eix-sync have default behaviour (step sequence) and lot of options, that can be changed via eix-sync.conf and run options. My idea: 'make'-like --dry-run (-n) option for display (without perform) step sequence, that will be performed without --dry-run, but with current .conf and run options. That’s convenient, I think.
This is a good idea. Implemented in eix's git master on BerliOS and GitHub (>=eix-0.30.3).
Thanks! One note: line 27 in zsh/_eix-sync > '-n[dry run (implies -vH)]' must will be > '-n[dry run (implies -aHT)]' ? I’m not familiar with zsh, it’s just intuitive supposition.
Thanks. I changed this description now completely: recommending -v is more important, and space is limited
