Description Tuan Van (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-12 21:17:57 UTC
I already have squirrelmail emerged, but when I ran `emerge --pretend`,the output marked with a N. I don't really know if this is the older or newer version of squirrel causing this.

This is the version I have:
# emerge -Cp squirrelmail

>>> These are the packages that I would unmerge:

 net-mail/squirrelmail
    selected: 1.4.2-r5
   protected: none
     omitted: none

>>> 'Selected' packages are slated for removal.
>>> 'Protected' and 'omitted' packages will not be removed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge squirrelmail-1.4.2-r5
2. emerge -p squirrelmail
3.

Actual Results:
[ebuild N ] net-mail/squirrelmail-1.4.3_rc1-r1

Expected Results:
[ebuild U ] net-mail/squirrelmail-1.4.3_rc1-r1 [1.4.2-r5]

I have webapp-config-1.8

# emerge info

i believe recent versions were slotted to work with the new webapp.eclass. jeremy?

*  net-mail/squirrelmail :
        [ ] 1.4.2-r1 (1)
        [ ] 1.4.2-r3 (1)
        [ ] 1.4.2-r4 (1)
        [M~ ] 1.4.2-r5 (1.4.2-r5)
        [ ] 1.4.3_rc1 (1)
        [M~ ] 1.4.3_rc1-r1 (1.4.3_rc1-r1)

yeah... the webapp.eclass sets the SLOT.
