!!! ERROR: kde-base/kdesdk-3.2.2 failed.

!!! died running emake, kde_src_compile:make

The target is a slow machine, so I exported the root filesystem, and mounted it on a faster machine. I chrooted into it, mounted /dev /dev/pts and /proc .

I have no clue, where I should start to search.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kdesdk
2.
3.

Comment 1 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-11 12:04:11 UTC
sounds like a (local) distcc problem to me. all i can do is recommend to try and recompile without distcc.
Comment 2 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-15 10:18:06 UTC
that's your problem. try just performing the emerge directly on the target machine. gcc/glibc issues can cause these problems.
