During editing a larger yaml file (ansible playbook which is all written in yaml) I've noticed that vim is really slow and the cpu usage was high. A quick search reveals it's a common problem: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20663169/vim-really-slow-with-long-yaml The patch recommended there works fine: https://github.com/stephpy/vim-yaml/blob/master/after/syntax/yaml.vim The syntax is working and the cpu usage dropped to normal. Please consider including in vim-core. Hello Patrice, I contacted upstream back in 2014, they responded that it should be fixed, but it wasn't. Seems like now with vim 8.0 it's fixed, yaml editing is much faster.
