I emerged the latest version of binutils (its masked I now). 

Everything is working fine exept when I do a rm -r * I get an error:

unrecognized option: --asuming-kernel=2.6.6-rc3-love3

Without the * its working though

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Emerge binutils-2.15.90.0.3-r1
2.type rm -r * (be careful)
3.

you neglected to provide `emerge info` among other things

what does `ls -al` show ?
