Description jsado_sc3 2004-05-09 11:10:15 UTC
When I start up noegnud-nethack I get:
noegnud-nethack --help
=========================  noeGNUd Entry  ==========================
loading config from: ../global.config
loading config from: /home/jlm/.noeGNUd/noeGNUd-0.8.2.config
loading sub-config(tomb) from: ../data/tomb/theme_traditional.inf
Segmentation fault

This is with hardware accelerated graphics. Without, the game is unplayably slow. 3d Graphics card is a voodoo3.

Reproducible: Always

Is this still a problem? I just tried it and it worked fine for me.
If you still experience issues, please post what you're using for X and opengl
drivers please.
Comment 2 jsado_sc3 2004-07-07 16:38:12 UTC
Yes, this is still a problem.

I'm using Xfree86 4.3.0-r3 and glide-v3 3.10-r3
Comment 3 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-07 16:44:18 UTC
upgrade to the latest stable packages for both of those please. If that
doesn't make a difference, try running it under strace and attach the
output as text/plain. Thanks.
Comment 4 jsado_sc3 2004-07-09 14:43:18 UTC
The update didn't work. Here is the output of strace -f -v.

Try it with just the xfree opengl and see if that makes a difference. I
suspect that there's something wrong with the glide stuff.
Comment 7 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-25 22:57:49 UTC
Reopen after giving that a try please.
Comment 8 jsado_sc3 2004-08-03 08:32:06 UTC
Yes this works fine with just the xfree openGL. Notice this from my original description of the problem:

"This is with hardware accelerated graphics. Without, the game is unplayably slow."

Still happening with latest X and opengl drivers?
