Only with sys-fs/udisks-2.1.2 sys-fs/udiskie-0.6.2 causes this error:

Comment 1 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-14 15:16:14 UTC
  19 Jan 2014; Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> udiskie-0.6.2.ebuild:
Entirely drop SLOT specification of sys-fs/udisks dependency because we can't
know from the .ebuild which parameters the user will use, --use-udisks1 or
--use-udisks2. Forcing either one at this point would be wrong.
Comment 2 Kai Wüstermann 2014-03-14 15:58:22 UTC
The change of the summary is the wrong hint. For users who wants to stick on udisk-1 there can be a USE-Flag "use-udisks1". On standard installation "emerge udiskie" will only install a working udiskie when a other ebuild has a dependency to udisks-1. It can't be the idea of portage that programs run on fortune.

Of course sys-fs/udiskie-0.6.2 should depend on sys-fs/udisks:2 but at the moment it only works with sys-fs/udisks:0 if the user only uses portage for installation.
Comment 3 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-14 17:29:38 UTC
more or less a compromise:

http://sources.gentoo.org/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/sys-fs/udiskie/udiskie-0.6.2.ebuild?r1=1.5&r2=1.6
Comment 4 Kai Wüstermann 2014-03-16 09:17:58 UTC
See: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/udiskie

version 0.6.3 has a bug fix for this problem:
"0.6.3 (bug fix)
....
automatically use UDisks2 if UDisks1 is not available"
Comment 5 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-16 09:23:03 UTC
added 0.6.4 to portage
Comment 6 Kai Wüstermann 2014-03-16 18:37:55 UTC
This works for me.
