Description Manuel Rüger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-06 19:28:44 UTC
Currently dovecot configuration says:
mail_max_userip_connections = 10

Is it possible to increase this value to 15 or 20?

Thanks!

Hm, I'm not sure if we really want this.
Isn't 10 enough? 10 connections per user/client is quite a lot IMHO.

IMAP Idle with subfolders and multiple devices in the same network.

Unfortunately you can't set less than max 10 connections in k9mail.
IMAP Notify would fix this, but no client currently supports it.

So how many connections would be sufficient? Just >10, like 11? 15?
Comment 4 Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 13:54:40 UTC
With offlineimap I can specify the folders where to use IMAP idle.
Comment 5 Manuel Rüger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-09 18:09:35 UTC
15 would be great :)
Comment 6 Manuel Rüger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-04-19 11:58:57 UTC
idl0r increased it to 15.

Thanks!
