Description Aaron Kulbe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-07 08:20:14 UTC
I have tried using both the package.use mechanism, and a straight USE="ooo-kde" emerge openoffice-ximian, and neither option produced the expected results.

When you do a straight emerge of openoffice-ximian, you get the Ximian look and feel that that OpenOffice build. You also get a changed (more polished) icon set. And, the OO splash changes as well, to a splash with a Ximian logo.

When I tried to implement the KDE integration, the icon set did not change, and the splash screen reverted to the original OO blue & white splash.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.USE="ooo-kde" emerge ximian-openoffice
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Ximian Openoffice look remains the same.

Expected Results:
the icon set should have changed, to look more like the icon set in KWord. (more
KDE-like

The bootsplash should have been the Ximian OO splash screen.

Comment 1 Aaron Kulbe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-07 08:21:24 UTC
pardon me... under steps to reproduce, that should have been emerge openoffice-ximian, not emerge ximian-openoffice
Comment 2 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-07 11:23:22 UTC
I know, this is why I took it out again, made some stupid mistakes in the ebuild. Anyway, if you want to try out again, try oox-1.1.55-r1 (which is hard masked) as this should be fixed, but as I'm not finished compiling I cant't promise anything...

Just finished my build off oox-1.1.55-r1, which has everything working :) so closing this
