Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2014-03-02 11:54:47 UTC
When I'm trying to suspend as user, from the menu, at the wakeup time, networkmanager does not work anymore.

To have it back working is enough restart with systemctl or simply disable/enable it from the UI.

If I suspend from pm-suspend/systemctl suspend as root, it works normally.

systemctl status NetworkManager after the suspend:

journalclt and dmesg does not says anything that can interest.

cc'ing systemd if they have trouble with it.

Comment 2 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2014-03-11 08:37:57 UTC
This is caused by some scripts in dispatcher.d/ and does not depend on the init system.
Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2014-03-11 19:44:29 UTC
What scripts? (from a "gnome team" point of view ;))
Comment 4 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2014-03-11 19:56:01 UTC
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #3)
> What scripts? (from a "gnome team" point of view ;))

any type of script, the most elementary is(just to sync the time):

#!/bin/bash
ntpdate -b time.ien.it
Comment 5 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2014-03-11 20:21:04 UTC
I would report this to upstream too -> bugzilla.gnome.org

Hopefully they will know better how to debug the issue to find what is breaking in NM :|

Thanks!

+*networkmanager-0.9.10.0 (22 Sep 2014)
+
+ 22 Sep 2014; Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> +networkmanager-0.9.10.0.ebuild,
+ -networkmanager-0.9.8.8.ebuild, metadata.xml:
+ Version bump, default to dhclient instead of dhcpcd (#493732), set proper pppd
+ plugindir (#519986 by Clemente Aguiar, Sergey Popov, Agostino Sarubbo and
+ others), remove wimax support (#522822 by Dion Moult), drop old.
+

Can you try with this new upstream version?
