Description Dmitry Derevyanko 2014-02-20 15:53:27 UTC
This bug in sane-backends in kodekaio.c already fixed in git (http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=sane/sane-backends.git;a=patch;h=37523b867d411c2f82d08128246be7e38bc9812c).
In ebuild there is another patch intended to fix this issue, but don't know why it's not applyed in 1.0.24-r1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn on printer or scanner available via avahi except kodak
2.Run xsane
3.Segmentation fault
Comment 1 Chris Brannon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-02-21 19:50:21 UTC
Ok, fixed in 1.0.24-r2.
The other kodakaio patch you mentioned, from files/, only applies to
version 1.0.23 (or earlier). It was written when they were using cups
for autodetection.

Thanks for the report.
