Description Carlos Rene Perez 2004-05-05 17:02:00 UTC
Following installation instruction from stage3-pentium4.tar.bz, when I try USE="bindist" emerge -k kde, I get !!! Invalid binary package for all the packages required by the KDE install. Using 2004.1 packages-pentium4.iso BUT if I use pacakges-pentium3.iso (2004.1) I get no problems.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.export PKGDIR="/mnt/cdrom"
2.USE="bindist" emerge -K kde
3.

Well... I'm going to guess you don't have this problem with 2004.3, right?

I'm guessing this is fixed... REOPEN if it is still a problem on newer releases.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
