plz a little bit more info - emerge info ... version of claws, ssh, gtk
I had to enable trusted X11 forwarding and the problem was gone OpenSSH_3.8.1p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004 sylpheed-claws 0.9.11 (just emerged 0.9.12, should test new version) libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1
Well, I don't really know anything about the X11 security extension and how it affects programs, if this is a serious problem for you please send it upstream (though I'm not sure if it's a -claws problem or a general gtk problem).
