After emerging the apache-manual ebuild and trying to view the manual at http://localhost/manual I recieve a plain text page which upon view source is the content-negatiation stuff for the page rather than the page itself. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge apache apache-manual 2. open http://localhost/manual (konq/mozilla) 3. Actual Results: I get this: URI: index.html.de Content-Language: de Content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 URI: index.html.en Content-Language: en Content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 URI: index.html.ja.jis Content-Language: ja Content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-2022-JP URI: index.html.ko.euc-kr Content-Language: ko Content-type: text/html; charset=EUC-KR URI: index.html.ru.koi8-r Content-Language: ru Content-type: text/html; charset=KOI8-R Expected Results: returned the index.html.en manual page
Created attachment 30791 [details] Updated version of manual config file to resolve problem Seems the problem stems from the default location of the manual pages being moved from /var/www/blah/htdocs/manual to /usr/share/blah/manual. Only one of the three references to the location were updated in the emerged /etc/apache2/conf/modules.d/00_apache_manual.conf .. upon updating the rest it seems to work fine :-)
