Description Shaun Crampton 2004-05-05 11:54:38 UTC
After emerging the apache-manual ebuild and trying to view the manual at http://localhost/manual I recieve a plain text page which upon view source is the content-negatiation stuff for the page rather than the page itself.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge apache apache-manual
2. open http://localhost/manual (konq/mozilla)
3.

Actual Results:
I get this:

URI: index.html.de Content-Language: de Content-type: text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1 URI: index.html.en Content-Language: en Content-type:
text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 URI: index.html.ja.jis Content-Language: ja
Content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-2022-JP URI: index.html.ko.euc-kr
Content-Language: ko Content-type: text/html; charset=EUC-KR URI:
index.html.ru.koi8-r Content-Language: ru Content-type: text/html; charset=KOI8-R

Expected Results:
returned the index.html.en manual page

Updated version of manual config file to resolve problem

Seems the problem stems from the default location of the manual pages being
moved from /var/www/blah/htdocs/manual to /usr/share/blah/manual. Only one of
the three references to the location were updated in the emerged
/etc/apache2/conf/modules.d/00_apache_manual.conf .. upon updating the rest it
seems to work fine :-)
