somaplayer music player for mp3, ogg, wav, audiocd, mp3 streaming, ogg streaming. it's fast, comfortable and able to use the appropriate sound drivers or daemons to male music, to encode in mp3 or ogg,and to stream directly to an icecast server (icecast2 or shoutcast). somaplayer is even a sound daemon (sds- soma daemon sound), which is able to accept connections from more somaplayers at the same time or from any other sound player (xmms, mpg123 and others, thanks to a special wrapper. All those sources are added and managed via driver or daemon, streammed or encoded as above. I would be the manteiner of this software. I am the coder of somaplayer. For example now, there is somaplayer 0.1.8. Bakunin
New version of somaplayer 0.1.9. I wrote the ebuild.
Please attach just the ebuild as plaintext files. If the newer versions are just a matter of bump you can just tell us and avoid the hassle of adding a newer one.

I'll try and get this one tommorow.. I normally test this stuff on ppc first, but apparently ppc doesn't like the endian-ness somewhere. Also the gui is giving me lots of bugs (If I add a file, remove an audio output, click "OK" to remove it, the thing just plain crashes). I'll see if at least x86 fairs better.
This post is 6 mounth old. The version of somaplayer is 0.4.5 now and there is not problem of big/little endian, there is a new graphic interface and many other toys. Update the ebuild if you are interested. Somaplayer now need other dependeces. I can do it because i use gentoo. I want be mantainer of somaplayer for gentoo distribution. Bye
Yes please. I've been trying to get some older bugs fixed that have been waiting around for awhile. That said, I'd like to work with you on getting the deps worked out as well as USE flags and what not.
