Every mirror I've tried has a corrupted tarball for this ebuild:

Sorry for the delay.

This is very weird. I've seen this happen myself once, but after I rm /usr/portage/distfiles/rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz, and regrabbed it off the mirrors it was fine.

root@rockman:/usr/portage/net-analyzer/rtg$ md5sum /usr/portage/distfiles/rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz
c61ff1323701e2771bb5ff9cf67f1b77  /usr/portage/distfiles/rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz

Pulled fresh off a mirror, and emerged fine.

I'll begin investigating this further though. Thanks

I'm having the same problem:

Perhaps the file on Gentoo mirrors are outdated? If I add RESTRICT="nomirror" to the ebuild and do "emerge -Of rtg", the md5sum passes.

>>> rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz MD5 ;-)
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz

If I remove the RESTRICT line, I get failures until I reach the SourceForge mirrors.

I'll ask about this on the gentoo-dev list.
Comment 4 Devon 2004-05-29 12:56:48 UTC
Minor edit, I ping'ed the gentoo-mirrors list instead since I assumed I would get to the right people faster there.
Comment 5 Ray Russell Reese III (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-29 16:34:44 UTC
Alright guys.

I've dropped the correct rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz into our distfiles-local, which will automatically distribute it to all the mirrors.

anti@toucan distfiles-local $ md5sum rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz
c61ff1323701e2771bb5ff9cf67f1b77  rtg-0.7.4.tar.gz

This is the correct tarball with the correct digest. This should fix itself within the next few days as it gets out to all the mirrors. Let me know if you guys have anymore problems. I'll leave open for a few more days then.
Comment 6 Ray Russell Reese III (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-01 10:54:05 UTC
Alright, all the mirrors should be updated. I'm closing this one out.
