In profiles/use.mask # Diego Pettenò <flameeyes@gentoo.org> (4 Jan 2007) # Mask the flags for PHP that are available only on x86 It looks like these flags are no longer used by PHP: ingres birdstep adabas filepro pfpro informix empress empress-bcs sybase dbmaker esoob solid oci8 oracle7 db2 frontpage is present in dev-lang/php but appears to be unused sybase-ct pulls in dev-db/freetds which is now keyworded on a number of arches
wow, 2007 :) for me, I'd like to say, I need solid use flag for KDE kf5-solid :)
My name is there but not all of them seem to come from me (see solid). Somebody with better context should clean these up.
I've dropped this list down considerably to: # Diego Pettenò <flameeyes@gentoo.org> (4 Jan 2007) # Mask the flags for PHP that are available only on x86 sybase frontbase # Shared with amd64 oci8 firebird These were kept because of the unknown effect with other packages in the tree
Firebird works on x86 and amd64, so we should unmask USE=firebird there. I'm way too tired to be touching profiles/ right now though.
This is all that's left, and these two need to stay. I'll file separate bugs for x86/amd64 to update the comments in their respective unmask entries. # Michael Orlitzky <mjo@gentoo.org> (7 Jan 2017) # The dev-db/firebird and dev-db/oracle-instantclient* packages # only support amd64 and x86. firebird oci8
