is it really alsa-lib and not the drivers? IE, if youu downgrade alsa-lib, does your sound work?
uh... sorry. i'll change the topic. it must be the driver of course. i never had problems before with alsa-lib 1.04.
can you please try using alsa-driver-1.0.4. If that doesn't work, then you will need to file a bug report upstream at alsa-project.org. Please report the bug number here when you do.
