Description Janne Johansson 2004-05-04 09:42:41 UTC
OO compiles fine, but it won't install because of a sandbox violation.

This is what I get:

Could you please attach a little bit more of the log, anyway it shouldn't even try to write to /opt/OpenOffice.org so am not sure what's happening there...
Comment 2 Janne Johansson 2004-05-08 09:49:34 UTC
Sure. I do know that it shouldn't try to tamper with /opt/OpenOffice.org, but seem it does. Although I do also have vanilla OO installed, because I occasionally ran into problems with the Finnish proofreader, maybe I should try to unmerge the vanilla OO.

I did manage to reproduce the problem with the openoffice-ximian-1.1.55-r1 ebuild, so here goes:

**
register uno component: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-ximian-1.1.55-r1/image//opt/Ximian-OpenOffice/program/pythonloader.uno.so

Merging translations into xoo-presentation.desktop.
Merging translations into xoo-spreadsheet.desktop.
Merging translations into xoo-textdoc.desktop.
 * Installing Menu shortcuts and mime info (need "gnome" or "kde" in USE)...

Comment 3 Janne Johansson 2004-05-09 01:20:44 UTC
It would seem that unmerging the openoffice-bin-1.1.1 (installed in /opt/OpenOffice.org) solves the problem. I was however under the impression that these two should be able to co-exist, since they have separate install folders, configuration files etc.

I got the proofreader working with the newest Ximian OO, so my problems are gone, but the conflict between openoffice-bin-1.1.1 and newish openoffice-ximian still exists.

this should be solved now, added some addpredicts to the ebuild
