When i try to emerge the pth-1.4.0 or pth-1.4.1 on the AMD64 architecture they give compilation errors telling: Invalid configuration `x86_64-pc-linux-gnu': machine `x86_64-pc' not recognized

i'm slightly busy and cant test this at the moment, but would you mind testing to see if adding "inherit gnuconfig" to the top and running "gnuconfig_update" instead of patching it works? i would much prefer that to patching the source and having to maintain that patch. besides, this sounds like a problem that gnuconfig_update should be able to handle :)
