Description Jaco Kroon 2014-01-24 15:03:21 UTC
DAHDI 2.8.0 has so far proven to fix many issues that we had with 2.6 and 2.7, including actually getting a full quad BRI setup for a client where we've been struggling for in excess of two years to get all the BRIs working reliably up and running. I therefore request that a stabilization request for 2.8 be considered (it fixes problems with earlier versions, and testing so far doesn't show any new issues, and even fixes issues with analog lines too, as per discussion with folks on IRC).

Reproducible: Always

This is a fast-track stabilisation, as the previous stable candidate 2.7.0.1 has proven temperamental in the field.

Arches, please test & mark stable:
=net-misc/dahdi-2.8.0.1
=net-misc/dahdi-tools-2.8.0

Could the last arch to stable please delete all previous ebuilds from the tree for both packages. As these modules require specialist hardware, compilation & module load tests will suffice. You should find that dahdi-autoconf sets up a dummy timer and that at least "dahdi" and "oslec" load.
