Version 28.3 of sci-mathematics/gimps is available for download. This is the first published beta for the new version. This version contains optimizations and performance improvements for Intel Haswell processors. Very fast memory is required to fully exploit these optimizations. Small performance improvements are expected for Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge Intel CPU as well and it works (with no known performance regressions) on all CPUs supported by 27.x Known bugs and fixes: none known at the moment. This is not a candidate for stable and is supposed to work fine with the current ebuild with trivial modifications. I'd put some warning in the ebuild regarding it being a beta.
There is no linux 32bit version at the moment, so please fix this in the ebuild as well.
- bumped this for amd64. - no systemd support yet. - no special message about beta, we are just not going to stable it.
