Possibly, but can you answer the question anyways?
Comment 4 tman 2014-01-23 16:31:59 UTC
you are right. i have checked if there is any BIOS update.

NO there is not. its a bug of kernel or sth else?
Comment 5 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2014-01-23 18:04:28 UTC
Is there something not functioning? The commit that changed this added some extra warning messages, but it retries with different firmware revision when the latest firmware doesn't exist.

Unless you are having a specific hardware failure, this is a dev warning message.
Comment 6 tman 2014-01-23 19:32:17 UTC
my Nvidia card i guess

> my Nvidia card i guess

What are you guessing? Is it not functioning?

You are using a closed source proprietary driver for that card.
Comment 8 tman 2014-01-24 00:29:47 UTC
yes i am using nvidia-drivers. and its not working. i am not sure its the culprit for this error.
Comment 9 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2014-01-24 12:47:21 UTC
We don't support closed source proprietary drivers.

Please take this to the upstream vendor.
