In the ebuild of gabber 0.8.8 it says: # ipv6 not enabled because it doesn't work for this release - liquidx Unfortunately, the reason why it doesn't work is stated nowhere in the ebuild or the Changelog. Since IPv6 actually works nicely with this version of gabber, it makes the user wonder. I've heard that there're problems with gabber 0.8.8 if IPv6 is not built into the kernel. Is that the reason why it's disabled in the ebuild? If yes, could you be so nice and include a hint either in the ebuild or the Changelog? That would be very helpful and would keep users from asking pointless questions e.g. in IRC. ;-) Thanks a bunch in advance! Christian Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

i can't remember the exact reason now, but maybe this might be an indication that i wasn't alone in seeing problems with ipv6. http://rpmfind.rediris.es/rpm2html/mandrake-9.2/gabber-0.8.8-3mdk.i586.html http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/g/gabber/gabber_0.8.8-2/changelog its more like i didn't enable it as it is disab;ed by default. i guess we can put it behind a ipv6 USE flag.
Enabled ipv6 in gabber-0.8.8. I'm not sure what the deal is with 1.9.3.
