Description Donald R. Gray Jr 2004-05-03 00:17:30 UTC
Alot of networks internally are blocking icmp type 8 code 0 because of ms-blast variants, is it possible to add tcptraceroute to future live cd's to give admins a troubshooting workaround.

I would prefer tcptraceroute over the regular traceroute because first it isnt icmp which would totally bypass msblast acl's ,and second you can specify any port number to trace so if there are certian acl's on the network you can trace to a specific port that you know to be open.

Reproducible: Always
