I just worked through the German version of the handbook and have seen that it still assumes grub1 gets installed by emerge grub. The specifics on installation seem to be all pre grub2. Up to this chapter the rest seems fine. I can provide a translation to German if needed.

The current state of the German translation can be seen at [1]. As you can see, it is largely outdated at the moment because we have very few translators (actually just me, and I haven't translated anything in a while).

If you want to help with patching/updating/translationg, more information is available at [2].

please use the translation features of wiki pages as needed. the "todo" links in comment #2 are gone from the web, it seems.
