Foobnix (foobnix.com) seems like a spiritual clone of foobar, and it appears to be very clean and lightweight, and it also supports a lot of stuff (http://www.foobnix.com/en/description.html). There's no official ebuild for it yet, but there's one in this overlay: https://code.google.com/p/aoliynik-overlay/source/browse/trunk/media-sound/foobnix?r=383 Judging from the looks of it, it doesn't seem hard to maintain. Can we please add foobnix to the official repo?
