The sourcecode to povray has not yet been released yet... They say Aug 1.

Comment 4 Ryan Phillips (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-07-17 11:12:13 UTC
Hope I don't sound nitpicky... but Binary ebuilds should be installed into
/opt and a path script added to /etc/env.d
Comment 5 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-07-19 07:25:12 UTC
actually its a bit more than nitpicking, as this version won't run on other
arch's that ix86 as well. I've been talking to Mark Gordon (Povray/Ximian dev)
and the new source is auto-tools working and should be far less of a hack to get
going. it'll be some more time until they release it though.
Comment 6 Ryan Phillips (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-07-19 10:58:46 UTC
Personally, I agree with Spider, the package should wait for the source... A
quick hack probably isn't the best of solutions.
Comment 7 Ryan Phillips (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-06 03:14:28 UTC
committed for testing.
