Description Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-02 15:05:45 UTC
With the md5sum checking in the ebuild, it is impossible to use it to install either version of Maya. With the current ebuild, only the unlimited version will work out of the box. Perhaps the ebuild should be renamed to maya-unlimited?

I only have unlimited. I thought Complete had the same binaries but the license simply gimped those features. There is only one 5.0.1 rpm that you can download from alias, and I thought that covered both... can you verify that it is not the case? What checksums are failing? Can you provide me with the "Maya Complete" checksums?

Actually, I only have Unlimited myself. I was just wondering if you had tested it with Complete.

I was under the impression that they were actually different. Perhaps I was wrong.

Let me check with a few of my friends that have Maya and see if I can verify this.
