it runs like molasses due to cpu runs. 

CFLAGS="-mcpu=pentium3 -march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"

I even switched off java/opengl options

(/me wobbles back to the bin)

eh. funny. Filed this sometime ago didn't I?

This was filed way back on 20040502.

And the posting was for a "heads up" issue, of which, I do not think I ever resolved except for the fact openoffice was running dog slow after compiling from source with the CFLAGS mentioned.

Since then, I have switched to using ximian's version of openoffice and have been using ximian's version ever since.
