It compiles fine but doesn't display the image for me... :/ Have you tested this programm, or do you only have compiled it successfully ?
ping ? Did you run it, or did you only compile it ? I will mark this BUG as INVALID at the end of the month if there is still no answer...
[sorry, i stoopidly repied to the bugs-daemon] it works fine, it's been drawing my desktop for ten days. i've got it in ummm /etc/X11/gdm/Init/Default, i've logged out and recompiled my kernel a couple of times, it's all good. if you're running gnome, have you told it not to use nautilus to draw the desktop? you have to find the key in gconf-editor and untick it...
i don't use gnome at all, haven't even installed it here... so someone else has to try. LV: would you be so kind ? *beg* ;-)
Ooops, sorry. I accidently marked this one FIXED..., REOPENED now.
What flavor of X are you running? xfree or xorg-x11?
xfree 4.3.0-r5 the way to test it, really, is to run xearth -noroot if you get an xwindow with a picture of the earth in it, then it's working.
He, that hint would have better been in the bug report from the beginning ;-) It works for me, so I'll mark it ~amd64.
