Description Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-12-31 06:50:07 UTC
Please change my account name from dirtyepic to rhill. I'm not available on irc but you can reach me at ryan.hill@altusgroup.com if you need anything. I imagine there will there be a forward for the old email address. Is it permanent?

Thanks.

I got some times that work for Ryan, will execute later this week.
Comment 2 Alec Warner (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2014-03-08 00:38:34 UTC
I failed to find a good time to do this, so might as well do it now.

Renamed in ldap.
Renamed on dev.gentoo.org
Renamed on cvs.gentoo.org
Renamed on bugs.gentoo.org
Renamed on overlays.gentoo.org

Your forums account is separate, if you want that renamed also, please contact forum-mods@gentoo.org (probably just CC them here.)

Let me know if things are not working for you as the new user ('rhill')

Per your original question, the forward from dirtyepic to rhill is permanent until you leave Gentoo.
Comment 4 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 03:07:08 UTC
Thanks Alec! Unfortunately logging into woodpecker just recreated /home/dirtyepic on me. Seems it's still set as my homeDirectory (mail wouldn't work either until the dir was recreated).
Comment 5 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 03:09:27 UTC
Forum guys, is rhill available, and if so can I be renamed from dirtyepic?
Comment 6 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 04:31:35 UTC
/var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/app-text/xchm/metadata.xml,v <-- metadata.xml
new revision: 1.2; previous revision: 1.1
cvs [commit aborted]: could not open lock file `/var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/app-text/xchm/,metadata.xml,': Permission denied
!!! Exiting on cvs (shell) error code: 1

Not sure if this is related or if I'm doing something wrong.

I've tried an nscd restart for this, let me know.

Hrm, I apparently fail at sed. This should be fixed.

Now you have mail in two places though, let me know if you want me to do anything about that.

trustees:
I know you maintain a seperate list of foundation members, and I believe that dirtyepic is on it. Please update your list to reflect his new email, rhill@gentoo.org.
Comment 12 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 06:50:51 UTC
You can just wipe out /home/dirtyepic including mail.

Thanks everyone.
Comment 13 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-08 15:18:11 UTC
I updated the master list and also the guide xml page;

Comment 14 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-09 03:45:57 UTC
Overlays, please remove the dirtyepic svn overlay. I don't need a new one.
Comment 15 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-09 08:43:51 UTC
Something just went wonky. I lost my mail again and ldap is back to homeDirectory: /home/dirtyepic and gentooAlias: dirtyepic.

Please update herds.xml too, it still has the old username.
