Created attachment 366554 [details] gcc-build-logs.tar.bz2 The usual emerge -vuND world worked for everything else (~150 packages) but gcc. It was trying to compile gcc-4.3.7-r1 in a new slot. The compile failed repeatedly - initially, during and after having compiled the rest and done perl-cleanup --al as well as python-updater. In other words, the system is in a perfect state but it cannot add the new slot of gcc. This is not an urgent request, obviously. Thanks in advance for having a look at the attached bug report file.
gcc 4.9+ is stable now, so punting bugs like this in older versions
