Hi, GMN currently uses the http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo/src/gwn/ repository in CVS. Would it be possible to shutdown this repository (I could commit a plain README file pointing people to the new one) and create a gmn.git one in git.overlays.gentoo.org? All developers should have read/write access. Thanks in advance.
Markos, did anyone handle your request? Are you still interested in this?
No, nobody did I definitely want to use git over cvs. I was actually planning to create my own on github this afternoon.
Ok, so please provide me: 1. the repo name (proj/gmn?), 2. who should have RW+ access?, 3. owner name and e-mail (gmn@?), 4. description, 5. whether commits to the repo are to go to gentoo-commits@.

That's fine. Can you also shutdown the old CVS one so we don't get confused and commit into two places? Thanks
git+ssh://git@git.overlays.gentoo.org/proj/gmn.git Please confirm that it works fine. As for CVS, I have been given only gitolite permissions. However, since that is a directory in generic gentoo CVS repository, I don't think it can be really shut down. Just remove all the files once you move them :).
