multicd was removed from debian in 2011 for various reasons while it is in the stable branch of gentoo.

It looks if the reasons are not just debian specific and might apply to this ebuild too.

Why would we want to follow Debian on this?
There are no open bug reports.
Is there any specific problem you wanted to address?
