Description Eric Brown 2004-04-30 11:31:13 UTC
when i do emerge -ep system, i see a list of packages, but in the middle i see a warning like this:

[ebuild N ] sys-libs/gdbm-1.8.0-r5
[ebuild N ] dev-lang/python-2.3.3-r1
[ebuild N ] sys-apps/portage-2.0.50-r6
*** Please update portage to the above version before proceeding.
Failure to do so may result in failed or improper merges.
A simple 'emerge -u portage' is sufficient.

[ebuild N ] sys-devel/libperl-5.8.3
[ebuild N ] dev-lang/perl-5.8.3
[ebuild N ] sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r3

I don't think that really belongs in the output for emerge -ep system (my portage is up to date, so that's something from the past)...if i'm wrong it's not a big deal though (it just looks kinda funny)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -ep world
2.
3.

Actual Results:
it listed packages and a warning from a long time ago

Expected Results:
should have only listed packages

It's not really wrong. It's just saying to be sure you're at that
version before actually proceeding with the emptytree operation.
