Hello, 29 of 38 mirrors in the 'openssl' mirror group in the profiles/thirdpartymirrors file appear to be dead. These were checked as part of an analysis of all third party mirror lists. The dead mirrors should probably be removed, and there may be a more up to date mirror list upstream that can be used. Here is a status of all 'openssl' mirrors: bad: http://www.openssl.org good: ftp://ftp.openssl.org good: ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/crypt/cryptography/libs/openssl good: ftp://ftp.pca.dfn.de/pub/tools/net/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.webmonster.de/pub/openssl good: ftp://sunsite.uio.no/pub/security/openssl good: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/security/tools/net/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.psy.uq.edu.au/pub/Crypto bad: ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/openssl good: ftp://gd.tuwien.ac.at/infosys/security/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.av8.com/pub/mirrors/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.styx.net/mirrors/crypto/openssl bad: ftp://gw.inetlab.com/mirrors/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.mos.net/pub/security/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.ebizlab.hit.bme.hu/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.kfki.hu/pub/packages/security/openssl good: ftp://guest.kuria.katowice.pl/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.infoscience.co.jp/pub/Crypto/SSL/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.happysize.co.jp/mirror/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.mit.com.tw/pub/SSL/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.elab.co.za/support/openssl/source bad: ftp://ftp.fisek.com.tr/pub/openssl good: ftp://ftp.fi.muni.cz/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.sunsite.utk.edu/pub/openssl good: ftp://ftp.linux.hr/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.1stnet.co.uk/pub/mirrors/openssl bad: ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/openssl bad: ftp://storm.alert.sk/mirrors/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.grmbl.com/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.calyx.nl/pub/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.duth.gr/pub/OpenSSL bad: ftp://ftp.linux.gr/pub/crypto/openssl bad: ftp://ftp.hjc.edu.sg/opensource/openssl bad: ftp://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/openssl bad: http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/openssl bad: http://openssl.securitywonks.net bad: ftp://mirror.canakkale.edu.tr/openssl Thanks!
Created attachment 367204 [details, diff] openssl-mirror-cleanup.patch This old mirror list is making today's openssl upgrade really painful, at least until it finally gets mirrored by gentoo. I've attached a patch for the mirror list here, it's based on the current mirror list here: http://www.openssl.org/source/ ..but with a handful of dead mirrors trimmed. All mirrors in my list have been tested.
ok the patch looks good to me. I will commit it in 24h unless someone objects.
