gdb back trace

Yesterday evening I got a strange behaviour of powertop running - which vanished today. I created back traces of the core dump file and collect the output of strace.

Probably related to the looong command lines yesterday evening while upgrading KDE:
Well - files are attached - or is this worth to be reported directly to upstream ?

sys-power/powertop-2.4 was built with the following:
USE="X unicode"
Comment 5 Rick Farina (Zero_Chaos) gentoo-dev 2013-12-19 19:18:28 UTC
If you want to try to reproduce it with powertop-2.5 or powertop-9999 and submit to upstream I think that may be great. Even what you have for 2.4 may be helpful to them. I believe this belongs upstream though, so please report it to them.

Thanks!
