The issue reported may be an upstream issue.

The latest version 0.7.5-r1 of x11-libs/libnotify ignores the --expire-time option of the notify-send command.

In my view even if --expire-time is ignored, at least the last sent notification should overwrite the last-before notification before its timer expires. 

Especially given the fact that  x11-libs/libnotify-0.7.5-r1 now has a notification-history widget.

I just want to confirm this.

My version is different though. It's 0.7.5.

Well 0.7.5 is what I get from 'notify-send -v'.

My libnotify is also 0.7.5-r1.
