Created attachment 365464 [details] dahdi-tools-2.8.0.ebuild Digium released dahdi-tools-2.8.0 with some bugfixes and improvements. I removed '06-linux-headers-3.7.diff' (obsolete) and rediffed the remaining patches. Compiles fine.

Comment on attachment 365464 [details] dahdi-tools-2.8.0.ebuild Same as the old ebuild...
Created attachment 365526 [details, diff] correct udev directory The original configure script sets udevs dir to /etc which is not wrong but unattractive - Gentoo complains about this to setup all udev rules to /lib/udev/rules.d so this patch corrects this.
Does dahdi-tools now install udev rules? If so, ACK on the correct UDEV directory support, but probable NACK on the removal of the other patch. A compile-test without the patch will confirm whether or not we need it, but it'll do no harm just keeping it. The patch however is incomplete as it doesn't update the rule to set ownership to asterisk:dialout but keeps the default asterisk:asterisk. I'll attach an updated patch in a moment.
Created attachment 365999 [details, diff] dahdi-tools-udev.patch Updated patch that also sets the correct ownership for created udev nodes. There are three patches from dahdi-2.7.0.1 that's influenced this: 01-udevinfo-fallback-not-primary.diff - no longer required - the new install mechanism doesn't require the use of udevadm or udevinfo as far as I can tell. 02-dialout-group-not-asterisk.diff - this is the ownership issue. 05-udev-directory.diff - this fixes the path for installing udev rules. Chainsaw - I've merged the two patches into one as they both aim to correct udev related things. I hope this is in order - please let me know if I should split this off.
